The renowned actress Mercy Aigbe has embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage to Hajj after her recent conversion to Islam. Joined by her husband, Kazim Adeoti, the couple traveled to Mecca, where they are participating in the sacred rituals of Hajj.

Expressing her sincere devotion, Aigbe shared heartfelt photos of herself in Mecca and expressed her hopes for acceptance of their supplications on this auspicious occasion of ibadah (worship).

Back in April, Aigbe publicly announced her conversion to Islam and embraced a new name. Prior to this revelation, she had introduced Kazim as her husband, which elicited mixed reactions from the public.

However, their union faced scrutiny when Kazeem’s first wife accused Aigbe of “snatching” her husband. In response, Kazeem defended his decision to take a second wife, citing that Islam permits polygamy as long as the husband fulfills his responsibilities and treats his wives with kindness.

Kazeem further clarified that his first wife had permanently relocated to the United States, leaving him with no alternative. He emphasized that while his first wife may be unhappy about his decision, he is adhering to Islamic principles and ensuring the well-being of both his wives.

The journey to Mecca holds great significance for Mercy Aigbe as she embraces her new faith and partakes in the sacred traditions of Hajj. Her pilgrimage marks a transformative chapter in her life, guided by the principles and teachings of Islam.
