The third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will be held from 29th June to 2nd July in Changsha, the capital of China’s Hunan province, under the theme “Common Development for a Shared Future”. Participants include representatives from 50 African countries and eight international organizations.

The head of the Hunan provincial department of Commerce, Shen Yumou, said that the event will organize more than 40 activities of various types, covering green infrastructure, customs and quarantine, medicine and health, agricultural and food products, industrial parks, vocational training, and other subjects.

A China-Africa Trade Index will be published for the first time at the event, to serve as a barometer for companies engaged in economic and trade cooperation with their African partners.

The guest countries of honor at the exhibition will be Benin, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Zambia.

Launched for the first time in 2019, the exhibition is a major platform for strengthening economic and trade cooperation between China and African countries.

More than 1,000 Chinese and African enterprises, trade associations, and financial institutions participated in the two editions of the exhibition held in 2019 and 2021, with a total of 216 projects and cooperation agreements signed.
