Guinea : 1.5 Tons of Cocaine are Seized from a Ship

On a ship sailing under the flag of Sierra Leone that was berthed in the port city of Kamsar, the West African nation of Guinea recovered about 1.5 tonnes of cocaine, according to official media.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Ministry of Defense, more than 60 bags totaling 25 kg of cocaine were discovered. All ten members of the team were detained, added Radio Television Guineenne.

Drug traffickers frequently use West African nations as a transit location when transporting cocaine from South America to Europe.
