Residents in the Marrakech and Safi regions felt the ground tremble as a series of earthquakes occurred in the area Thursday evening. According to online seismic monitoring services, the most significant of these quakes registered a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter of the seismic activity was pinpointed near Marrakech at a depth of 14 kilometers, occurring at 21:22 local time.

Over the past 24 hours, the same sources reported a total of 10 earthquakes in the Marrakech-Safi region, ranging in magnitude from 3 quakes at 4.0 on the Richter scale to a single tremor at 3.0, along with 6 quakes measuring 2.0 in magnitude.
