Moroccan Royal Navy Rescues Senegalese Migrants, Repatriation Efforts Underway

The Moroccan Royal Navy successfully undertook the rescue operation of a canoe transporting 65 Senegalese migrants on a mission to reach Spain. This event was reported by the Senegalese News Agency, sourced from a diplomatic outlet.

These newly arrived migrants on Moroccan territory after being rescued at sea are in addition to 75 of their compatriots collected four days earlier by the Royal Moroccan Navy and the 8 patients hospitalized in Dakhla, said the same source.

According to the APS report, a gathering of 148 Senegalese citizens is presently in a phase of awaiting repatriation within Dakhla. At the same time, a cumulative sum of 325 additional individuals has effectively completed their journey back to Senegal, utilizing routes over land. This entire procedure was set in motion on Sunday.
