The Hawks in Limpopo have apprehended two suspects involved in the kidnapping of a businessman last month. A group of heavily armed individuals exhibiting military precision took Solly Tayob, a 65-year-old Dealer Principal of Burgersfort, hostage on June 2nd at his Hyundai Dealership. The audacious incident shook the community, sparking an intensive multi-disciplinary investigation led by a dedicated team.

Warrant Officer Lethunya Mmuroa, the spokesperson for the Hawks, revealed that a 27-day cyber forensic investigation was conducted with relentless determination. The exhaustive efforts of the team paid off as they successfully located Tayob, ultimately leading to his joyful reunion with his family on Friday. The news of his safe return brought immense relief to his loved ones and the wider community.

In a recent development, the two suspected perpetrators appeared in the Practiseer Magistrate’s Court earlier this week. They are currently facing charges related to the kidnapping and will make their next court appearance on Monday.

Meanwhile, the police continue their ongoing investigations to gather further evidence and ensure that they serve justice. The collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies and the diligent work of the investigative team have demonstrated a commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring the safety of the community.
