Beach handball.. Morocco beats Algeria to Reach the Final

On Sunday, the Moroccan men’s beach handball team qualified for the final of the tournament held as part of the second All-Africa Beach Games, organized from 23rd to 30th June in the seaside resort of Yasmine Hammamet (70km from Tunis).

The national team validated its qualification ticket by beating Algeria on penalties (7-4) after a 1-1 draw (12-10, 17-16) at the end of regulation time.

In Monday’s final, Morocco will face Tunisia, who qualified at the expense of Libya 2-0 (22-14, 18-16).

After the first edition, organized on the island of Sal in Cape Verde from 14 to 23 June 2019, the African Beach Games will see the participation of around 1,100 athletes in several disciplines, representing some fifty African Olympic Committees.

Moroccan athletes will be competing in 9 disciplines: beach rowing, beach hand, beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach tennis, 3×3 basketball, karate kata, kungfu wushu, and open water.
