Two sisters met, after more than 60 years, without knowing anything about each other. They were able to meet again, thanks to a DNA test.

In the details of the incident, according to media reports, the story dates back to 1956, when Julie Mamo, who is now 66 years old, was born in Dover, southeast England, and was adopted after nine days, when her mother, Lillian Fisher, who was 18 years old, abandoned her.

According to the same sources, Mamo later moved to Australia with her adoptive parents, Mavis and David Holland, while Fisher later gave birth to 4 other children, including a daughter, Julie Ansell, who is now 64 years old and lives in Scotland.

Before her death, Fisher told Ansel that she had a sister who had abandoned her, according to what was reported by the British network “Sky News”, and after Ansel used the “MyHeritage” genealogical site, to discover that her father Fisher matched with Mamo by 90 percent, so that later the father would go on a mission to find out more about his daughter, and contacted Louise, Mamo’s daughter, on Facebook, so that the father’s efforts to meet the two sisters came to fruition after Ansel traveled to Australia to meet Mamo last month.

According to the same source, Mamo decided to visit England to meet the rest of the family and get to know them after the many years she spent in Australia.
