On Sunday, the Moroccan-German women in the state of Hesse established the first Moroccan-German women’s association, bringing together successful women from the Moroccan community in Germany who have made a positive impact on German society.

In a statement, the Moroccan Consulate in Frankfurt, Bouthaina El Kerdoudi El Koulali, said that the association, called “Kafaât Frauen”, brings together several qualified Moroccan women representing the first, second, and third generations of the Moroccan community, who are making their mark on German society thanks to their high qualifications in several fields.

The members of the steering committee elected Ms. Samira El Ouanzi Teiss as president of the association and Ms. Farida El Mahyaoui as vice president, after approving the association’s articles of association at a constituent meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Moroccan Consul General in Frankfurt, Bouthaina El Kerdoudi El Koulali, said that the creation of an association of Moroccan women in Germany was an obvious choice in light of the development of the Moroccan community in Germany and the radiance of these women in the social, cultural, scientific and political spheres.

For her part, Ms. Al Ouanzi said that the association’s main ambition was to transfer scientific expertise to Morocco by strengthening the channels of communication between German universities and Moroccan institutions and organizing activities in various fields.
