Rabat.. The Speaker of the Israeli Knesset Recognizes the Moroccanness of the Sahara

The Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Amir Ohana, announced today, Thursday, that the Sahara is Moroccan, affirming his support for the autonomy initiative, and also praising King Mohammed VI’s leadership measures in this context.

The Israeli “Knesset” Speaker confirmed his position today during an official statement at a press conference that followed his meeting with Moroccan Parliament Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami in Rabat. He noted that “Sahara is Moroccan and Israel is happy to support this decision.”
At the beginning of his statement to journalists, Ohana expressed his happiness at his visit to Morocco, saying in Moroccan dialect: “I am happy and this is a great day. May God bless you, King Mohammed VI, and may God bless you, the Speaker of Parliament.”

The same speaker affirmed that he is “proud of King Mohammed VI, who follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, King Mohammed V, and his father, King Hassan II, who works intensively to preserve the Hebrew heritage in Morocco,” as he put it. At the beginning of his statement to journalists, Ohana expressed his happiness at his visit to Morocco, saying in the Moroccan dialect: “I am happy and this is a great day. May God bless you, King Mohammed VI, and may God bless you, the Speaker of Parliament.”
