In Dakar, the African Diaspora in Europe, the group Agir Europe Afrique, the Union of Youths of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (UJ-CEMAC), and the World Peace Organisation have invited political leaders and Senegalese citizens to “respect the judicial institutions” of their country.

These organizations stressed at a press conference that respect for institutions is a “guarantee of peace and stability”.

On this occasion, the permanent secretary of the mission carried out in Senegal by these four organizations, Me Mariama Dongui, urged the political class and the people to allow the institutions of justice to do their work and to respect their decisions.

In delivering the statement of the four French-based organizations, she stressed that the institutions deserve the trust of all.

Thus, the four organizations warned Senegalese political leaders and citizens against resorting to violence, referring to the violence that occurred on 16 March in Senegal.

The African Diaspora in Europe, the group Agir Europe Afrique, the UJ-CEMAC, and the World Peace Organisation also called on Senegalese to “consolidate peace, stability and fraternity” in their country.
