The country’s disaster management organization announced on Wednesday that there have now been 225 fatalities in Malawi as a result of tropical storm Freddy, up from the 190 reported on Tuesday.
As the storm continued to cause heavy rain in numerous regions of the country of southern Africa, the Department of Disaster Management Affairs stated in a statement that 707 people had been hurt by the storm and 41 were reported missing.
