Ramaphosa Reiterates Call for ANC Unity Amidst Public Feuds

To find a solution to the energy crisis, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that a government reshuffle will take place.

Two new ministries will be created, the Ministry of Electricity to deal with the immediate crisis of load shedding which has caused power cuts lasting twelve hours a day, and the Ministry of Planning to monitor and evaluate government performance.

These two ministers will accompany the Minister of Public Enterprise and the Minister of Energy who are not affected by the reshuffle.

According to the South African president, the new electricity minister, Ramokpa, a former mayor of Pretoria, is a transitional minister who will remain in office until the energy crisis is resolved.

In addition to the problems of load shedding, this new government will have to tackle unemployment, and crime as well.
