The president of the Burundi Football Federation, Alexandre Muyenge has started a tour to explore ways of developing the sport.

The objective of this tour, which comes two years after his arrival as the head of the FFB, is to contribute to the promotion of the image of Burundi at the international level.

On Tuesday, Muyenge met with the FIFA president to discuss ways to develop cooperation.

Among the issues discussed during the meeting was how to develop and detect talent among young Burundian players, to give them the opportunity to access the world.

Another point that was at the heart of the discussions was the sports infrastructure since the development of football also relies on the infrastructure and not only on the players.

The FIFA Forward 3.0 program allows member associations to receive funds for the development and organization of football, and Alexandre Muyenge would like to take advantage of it.
