Senegal: Opening of the 12th Symposium of the Chiefs of Staff of the African Air Forces

SENEGAL

The 12th edition of the annual symposium of the Chiefs of Staff of African Air Forces opened Tuesday in Dakar, with the participation of more than 40 delegations from different African countries in synergy with the United States Air Force. The symposium will continue until March 3.

The African Air Force Association (Aaaf), sponsored by the US Air Force in Africa and the Senegalese Air Force, is organizing a symposium on the theme “African armed forces facing cross-border threats.

The meeting aims to unite African air forces to improve collective security and address terrorist threats in Africa.

In an opening speech, the Chief of General Staff of the Senegalese Armed Forces, General Cheikh Wade, said that this symposium lays the foundations for an integrated and multilateral approach to deal with transnational threats and find solutions to security challenges.

In summary, the participants in this meeting will exchange the various possible action plans and common solutions to strengthen their roles in addressing transnational threats.
