Morocco and the African Union Celebrate the Eighth Edition of the African School Food Day

Rabat hosted this Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 the festivities of the 8th edition of the African School Food Day, chaired by Professor Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister of Health and Social Protection, and Mrs. Minata Samate Cessouma, Commissioner for Health , Human Affairs and Social Development, African Union Commission.

This day placed under the theme “Boosting local food supply systems and regional value chains: the role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF) in sustainable school feeding programs and improving the ‘learning’ is part of the celebration of the 8th edition of the African School Food Day, which is celebrated on March 1st of each year.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, in collaboration with the African Union Commission, has organized the celebration of this day simultaneously in the Kingdom of Morocco and Ethiopia. The event will take place remotely and face-to-face over a two-day period, from February 27th to March 1st, 2023.
