King Mohammed VI is expected to make an official visit to Dakar tomorrow, 20 February, where he will hold talks with Senegalese President Macky Sall. Preparations are underway on site to receive the King and the high-level delegation that will accompany him.

The King resumed his African tour on 15 February in Gabon, where he met with Gabonese President Ali Bongo and presented him with a donation of fertilisers for farmers. This initiative was widely welcomed by the national and international media.

The visit of the sovereign to Senegal would be an opportunity to discuss issues of common interest, regional and continental. The development of relations between Morocco and Senegal would be on the agenda of the meeting of the two heads of state.

Similarly, HM the King and Macky Sall will preside over the signing of several agreements covering several areas of cooperation. Thus, two projects financed by Morocco will be inaugurated. They include a fishing village and a vocational training centre in Diamniadio.

The King’s African tour only consolidates Morocco’s interest, under HM’s enlightened leadership, in Africa’s development.
