The Senegalese Presidency published on its official Facebook page that the Senegalese President, Macky Sall received, Monday in the audience, General Michael E. Langley, of the United States Marine Corps, Commander of the United States Military Command for Africa (AFRICOM).
The strengthening of military cooperation between Senegal and the United States was on the agenda of the talks between the two parties while prioritizing military training exercises and the fight against terrorism.
The Senegalese Head of State made Mr. Langley a Commander in the National Order of the Lion, the same sourUnited Statesce added.
During the audience, General Michael E. Langley also praised the professionalism of the Senegalese defense and security forces.
