The Joint Security Task Force in the South-South, Operation Delta Safe, has arrested 699 suspects in the Niger Delta region because of different charges.
The tally was announced by Rear Admiral Aminu Hassan, CJTF Commander, while briefing journalists s on the task force’s activities in 2022.
Furthermore, 90 illegal weapons and large calibre ammunition were seized, also The dismantling of 1,883 illegal oil refining sites.
This process saved more than 53 billion nitrogen from crude oil, diesel, kerosene and gasoline, according to Hassan.
These operations were conducted to protect the oil and gas operations and facilities, as well as the people of the region in the Niger Delta.
