Marrakech Festival honours the American star, James Cray

The audience of the International Film Festival in Marrakech received, on Saturday evening, the American director James Cray in an energetic surrounding.

The evening began with the screening of a tape collecting the most prominent works in Kray’s career as a film director, before receiving the honorary shield of the 19th Marrakech International Film Festival from the French star Marion Cotillard, amid the applause of the attendees.

Karay expressed his deep thanks to King Mohammed VI, the official sponsor of the festival, and Prince Moulay Rachid, head of the demonstration. while He said that it is a great honour for him to be honoured today in Morocco, which has a special love and occupies a special place in his heart, adding that his family is glad that he is in Morocco.

The festival will remain until November 19, when the upcoming evenings will honour the famous Scottish actress Tilda Swinton and the pioneer of Moroccan cinema, director Farida Belazid.

This edition features 76 films from 33 countries representing cinematic experiences from all over the world. The jury of the official competition, headed by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino, includes Danish director Susan Behr, American actor and producer Oscar Isaac, British actress Vanessa Kirby, actress German Diane Kruger, Australian director Justin Kurzel, Lebanese director and actress Nadine Labaki, Moroccan director Leila Marrakchi, and French actor Taher Rahim.
