A tragic incident unfolded in the Finnish town of Vantaa near Helsinki, where a 12-year-old child lost their life after being shot at a primary school, as announced by Finnish police on Tuesday.
In addition to the fatality, two other 12-year-olds sustained serious injuries, as confirmed by the authorities. Emergency services swiftly apprehended another 12-year-old pupil outside the school premises.
The suspected perpetrator was found in possession of a firearm, and the police reported a smooth arrest.
As investigations continue at the primary school in the Viertola district of Vantaa, located in southern Finland, the public has been urged to avoid the area.
