Governor Fubara Surveys Site of Rivers Tanker Explosion

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has lamented the tragic fire incident caused by a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, which resulted in severe casualties among motorists and commuters and extensive damage to numerous vehicles.

The incident occurred between Indorama Gate and Aleto Bridge on the bustling Eleme section of the East-West Road, currently undergoing significant reconstruction by the Federal Government, on Friday night.

Expressing profound sadness at the harrowing scenes witnessed during his visit to the site of the incident on Saturday morning, Governor Fubara was accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Uchechukwu Nwafor.

This information was conveyed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, and disseminated to the press.
