The search for a missing 15-year-old, who disappeared while swimming off the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) south coast, has entered its second day, intensifying concerns for the teen’s safety. The incident unfolded at Mthwalume on Friday, triggering an urgent response from multiple rescue teams dedicated to locating the teenager.

Rescue teams, including the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), have been working tirelessly, yet the missing teen remains elusive, heightening anxiety among the search parties. The collaborative effort involves the SA Police Service search and rescue, Mi7 ambulance services, and NSRI, combining resources to conduct extensive sea and shoreline searches.

Despite the collective endeavors, the NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, reported that there are no apparent signs of the 15-year-old. The urgency of the situation has put rescue teams on high alert as they navigate the challenging mission to locate the missing teen.
