Morocco and Switzerland jointly expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation in migration matters within a spirit of partnership at bilateral, regional, and multilateral levels.

The meeting, led by Khaled Zerouali, the Director-General of Immigration and Border Monitoring at the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior, and Kristin Schröder Borgner, the State Secretary for Migration, revealed their satisfaction with establishing this framework for dialogue, coordination, and enhancement of the bilateral partnership in migration, including various sectoral dimensions.

Both sides agreed to explore and enhance opportunities for facilitating orderly migration between the two countries. They also committed to practical collaboration by exchanging information, sharing expertise, providing training, and offering technical support.

To advance this cooperation, Morocco and Switzerland have established two subcommittees to create and implement a roadmap. These initiatives will encompass all aspects of migration, including those related to irregular migration and organized mobility.
