Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has conveyed his optimism that President Bola Tinubu will bring relief to Nigerians amidst the ongoing economic challenges facing the country. Edochie shared his assurance through a statement on his verified Instagram account on Wednesday.
In his statement, Edochie expressed his prayers for President Tinubu’s long life and good health, emphasizing his belief that Tinubu possesses the capacity to wipe away the tears of Nigerians and restore greatness to the nation. The actor referred to Tinubu as “The Jagaban” and wished him the best of luck as he carries out his plans for the country.
Earlier, Edochie had made a plea to Tinubu regarding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the actor appealed to Tinubu, highlighting his decades-long fight for democracy and urging him to set Kanu free.
Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since his arrest and repatriation to Nigeria two years ago from Kenya. Despite being discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal in Abuja on October 13, 2022, Kanu has yet to be released by the DSS.
