The Presidency has vehemently dismissed allegations that President Cyril Ramaphosa has withdrawn from his responsibilities of running the country. In a press briefing held at the Union Buildings, the president’s spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya, refuted these criticisms and emphasized that Ramaphosa remains fully engaged and motivated to address the numerous challenges facing South Africa.

Magwenya highlighted a range of focus areas where the president has actively worked over the past six months. These include efforts to attract investments, generate employment opportunities for the youth, and take decisive actions to tackle the energy crisis. He stressed that Ramaphosa’s dedication and involvement in these critical matters dispel any unfounded rumors or misinformation suggesting his disengagement.

The spokesperson further dismissed the notion that Ramaphosa is an absent president, asserting that such claims are merely attempts at scoring cheap political points. He urged critics to refrain from spreading false narratives and instead acknowledge the president’s commitment to addressing the nation’s pressing issues.

The Presidency’s firm response seeks to reassure the public that President Cyril Ramaphosa continues to actively lead and remains resolute in finding solutions to the multifaceted problems faced by South Africa.
