Algeria continues its hostile policies towards the Kingdom of Morocco and harnesses all its resources to support the Polisario Front, and its separatist thesis in the Sahara, coinciding with the work of the UN Committee of 24, which knew a strong Moroccan proposal, presented by the Permanent Representative of Morocco to the United Nations, Omar Hilal, against Algeria and its followers.

In this context, a “diplomatic forum” supporting the Polisario Front was launched in Algiers, Saturday, with the participation of ambassadors and members of diplomatic representations from South Africa, Kenya, Mauritania, Ghana, and Ethiopia, as well as Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru, under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Director General of Africa at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Salma Malika Haddadi, said in a speech on the occasion that this forum aims to consider a way to mobilize intercontinental support for the Polisario Front. This is in light of the victories that Moroccan diplomacy has been achieving on more than one level, perhaps the most prominent of which is the opening of many countries to their consulates in the city of Dakhla, and their support for the autonomy initiative to resolve the Sahara conflict.

Despite Algeria’s claims that it is not involved in the Sahara conflict, the Algerian official asserted that the country would work hard to implement the outcomes of this forum, and that, through its status as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, it would continue to defend Polisario Front.
