A group of armed individuals stormed the Mashafa area of Mpape in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in the early hours of Saturday. The assailants believed to be armed men, reportedly abducted at least four residents during the operation, which lasted approximately one hour.

According to a resident named Zack, the armed men specifically targeted certain individuals. He described how the gunmen forcefully entered the victims’ homes separately and took them away. Zack recounted, “They came early in the morning around 1 am with sophisticated weapons. The sound of their guns was very loud, and it lasted about an hour. If you look at the kind of people they kidnapped, it showed they had their targets, and they one-by-one forced their way into their houses to pick them up. We have an Executive Officer of a logistics company, another, a manager of a big bakery, the other one is a Manager of an Oil dump company, and the last one works with a construction company.”

When approached for comment, SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), assured that she would provide information to the correspondent. However, as of the time of filing this report, no response had been received from her.
