Rabat: Croatia Celebrates 10th Anniversary of EU Accession

The Embassy of Croatia in Rabat commemorated, on Tuesday evening, the tenth anniversary of Croatia’s accession to the European Union.

After joining the Schengen area, Croatia has officially abandoned its local currency, the “kuna” and adopted the “euro”, leading to a historic shift in its fate and allowing its citizens to move freely between European Union countries without a visa.

The occasion witnessed the presence of many eminent personalities and ambassadors from all countries of the world, as well as the presence of the Minister of Culture and Youth, Mohamed El Mahdi Bensaïd, who expressed his gratitude and joy for the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Croatia.

In this regard, Jasna Milita expressed, during her speech, her joy for celebrating this occasion and for the accession of her country, Croatia, to the European Union.

In the same context, Yasna Milita told Weafrica24, “I am very proud of the 10th anniversary of Croatia’s accession to the European Union, and I am also very happy to announce this happy news to my Moroccan friends in my capacity as responsible for several projects here in the Kingdom of Morocco.”

The Croatian ambassador added, in her statement, saying: “I am here today with the Minister of Youth and Culture, Mohamed El Mahdi Bensaïd, to commemorate this happy memory, and this good cooperation and relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Croatia, as I have sincere love for Morocco.”

During the fall of this year, a Moroccan delegation will visit Croatia to discuss cooperation in the field of solar energy and energy. Croatia and Morocco are strong in renewable energy and are expected to benefit from this partnership. the Croatian ambassador to Morocco indicated the existence of partnerships related to environmental science and renewable energies, adding, “We have a Moroccan delegation that will come to Croatia during the fall of this year, to discuss cooperation in the field of solar energy and energy”.
