The two individuals from the United States Consulate in Nigeria who were kidnapped during an attack on their convoy in Anambra State have been successfully rescued by security operatives. This encouraging news was announced by DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police spokesman, in a press release on Friday.

Although the names and identities of the victims were not disclosed, Ikenga confirmed that they were rescued unharmed by joint security forces in the early hours of Friday. The rescue operation was conducted following the abduction incident that occurred along Atani/Osamela road in Ogbaru Local Government Area.
