President Cyril Ramaphosa is scheduled to embark on his sixth presidential imbizo, taking place in Paarl, a town located in the Cape Winelands region of South Africa, the imbizo series serves as an essential platform for the President to engage with communities, monitor development initiatives, and ensure that no one is left behind. The overarching theme of this imbizo is “leave no one behind,” aligning with the government’s strategy to foster collaboration among various sectors.

During his visit to Paarl, Ramaphosa will focus on housing projects and actively interact with residents and community members. This provides an opportunity for the President to hear firsthand about their needs, concerns, and aspirations. It also allows him to address their questions and provide insights into the government’s plans and initiatives, particularly in the predominantly agricultural area of Paarl.

The Drakenstein Local Municipality, which encompasses Paarl, will be at the heart of the discussions and engagements. Ramaphosa’s presence in the district underscores his commitment to prioritizing the concerns and interests of the local community. As part of his itinerary, the President is expected to visit a local housing project that has already received substantial investment, with over R248 million allocated for the completion of more than 400 housing units.

Accompanying President Ramaphosa on this visit will be a delegation of ministers and Western Cape Premier Alan Winde. Their presence symbolizes the collaborative approach between the national and provincial governments, emphasizing the shared commitment to address community needs and promote development in the Western Cape region.

The participation of these key stakeholders further strengthens the significance of the presidential imbizo and reinforces the government’s dedication to partnership and progress.
