Tallinn: Ambassador Achgalou Presents Morocco’s Strategic Importance in Euro-African Exchanges

The Kingdom’s Ambassador to Estonia, Mohamed Achgalou presented on Monday the perspective of Morocco and Africa on the theme: ‘Innovating with Emerging Europe in Africa’, during a public conversation with the Polish Under-Secretary of State for Africa, Paweł Jabłoński.

The meeting took place within the framework of a forum, inaugurated by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and taking place on 15th-16th May, to provide a platform for exchange between professionals and economic actors to improve the perception of Estonian companies of African markets.

During this meeting, the ambassador highlighted the initiatives and solidarity actions undertaken by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the development and digital transformation of the African continent.

In this sense, the diplomat stressed that Morocco has always worked for a “strong”, “balanced” and “solidarity” Euro-African relationship capable of meeting common challenges, saying that “Africa is indeed the future” and that Morocco has contributed strongly to shaping this future, which makes it an essential political and economic partner in the equation of Euro-African relations.

During this meeting, marked by the presence of the Estonian Secretary of State for Economic and Development Affairs, Mariin Ratnik, the diplomat also highlighted the various sectoral strategies, legal and institutional reforms aimed at improving the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy and strengthening its openness to the world.
