Angola’s National Assembly President Underlines Morocco’s Important Position in Africa

The president of the National Assembly of Angola, Carolina Cerqueira is on a 5-day visit to the Kingdom at the invitation of the Moroccan Parliament.

In a statement on the occasion, Cerqueira stressed the important role that Morocco plays in the African continent, given its strong economy that makes it a model to follow.

She added that Morocco could contribute to the development of Angola through its potential and its rich experience in several areas.

Cerqueira stressed the need to strengthen and diversify cooperation with the Kingdom, firstly by facilitating the granting of entry visas to Angola to attract more investors who will contribute to the development of Angola.

The Angolan National Assembly can benefit from the Moroccan experience to strengthen its action in the process of pacification of Africa, according to her.

According to the program of the visit, Mrs. Cerqueira is expected to attend the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the House of Representatives and the Angolan National Assembly.

In addition, she is expected to meet with the President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, and the President of the House of Councillors, Enaam Mayara.
