The Director of Thinking Africa, Dr. Said Abass Ahmed, on Monday at a seminar on the fight against the financing of terrorism, highlighted the proven leadership shown by the Ivory Coast in the fight against the financing of terrorism.
In this sense, he said that Ivory Coast is among the first countries in West Africa to try to harmonize domestic and international legislation.
Dr. Said explained that the country had become aware very early on that the attacks were coming down the coast from the Sahel, by forming specialized units on the military level and by putting in place norms and laws to incriminate people.
Finally, he insisted on the need to dry up the financing of terrorism, by attacking the various networks that finance this phenomenon, to fight against this phenomenon facing West Africa.
