On Tuesday, Dakar will host a first-ever international forum dedicated to establishing a global museum network.
This meeting which continues until Thursday will bring together 60 African and European museum directors from 38 countries.
The organizers of this event have specified in a press release that it is not open to the press or the public.
The same source indicated that the objective of this first edition is to set up a global network that will be able to implement an ambitious partnership program between African and European museums. A press conference will be held on Friday at the Museum of Black Civilisations in Dakar.
The priorities of such a program will be defined by the museum directors to launch the search for decision-makers and international donors.
