In a congratulatory message to Nigeria’s President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky extended an invitation for a state visit to Ukraine. Tinubu, who won the presidential election by defeating Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi with 8,794,726 votes, was praised by Zelensky for his victory.
Zelensky praised Tinubu over his victory and said that his war-torn country is determined to further strengthen cooperation with Nigeria. He also expressed gratitude for Nigeria’s support of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution “Principles of the UN Charter underlying a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Ukraine.”
Ukrainian President sees the provision of global food security as an important direction of cooperation and invited Tinubu to pay an official visit to Ukraine at a convenient time.
