Moussa Faki Mahamat receives Moroccan Amina Selmane, Permanent Representative of the AMU to the AU

The former Moroccan consul in Verona, Italy, Amina Selmane has been appointed representative of the Arab Maghreb Union to the African Union, announced a statement from the General Secretariat of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU).

On Thursday, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, received Ms. Amina Selmane, who presented her accreditation as permanent representative of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) to the African Union (AU).

Ms. Amina Selmane was previously the Director of Economic Affairs at AMU.

This appointment comes “in a context where the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) are considered by the African Union as its key pillars in the implementation of the African Union’s Agenda 2063, particularly in terms of economic development and integration”.
