The advantages of maintaining good diplomatic relations between the two countries are numerous, and they benefit both Morocco and Spain.

Furthermore, the proximity of Morocco and Spain means that they share a common interest in addressing issues such as migration, terrorism, and organized crime. The two countries have collaborated on several occasions to tackle these issues, and this has resulted in significant successes.

For example, in 2018, the Spanish and Moroccan police conducted a joint operation that led to the arrest of a terrorist cell that was planning attacks in both countries. Such collaborations not only enhance security in the two countries but also contribute to regional stability.

Then, good diplomatic relations between Morocco and Spain provide a platform for economic cooperation. Spain is Morocco’s largest trading partner, with the two countries sharing a robust economic partnership that includes trade, investments, and joint projects. The two countries collaborate in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and renewable energy. For example, Morocco is currently exporting renewable energy to Spain through the recently built Morocco-Spain electricity interconnector, which provides an opportunity for both countries to diversify their energy sources and reduce their carbon footprint.

In addition, good diplomatic relations between the two countries have resulted in cultural exchanges, which have enhanced mutual understanding and appreciation.

Morocco and Spain share a rich cultural heritage, and the two countries have collaborated on various cultural events, such as the Moroccan-Spanish Cultural Week held in Madrid in 2019. Such events provide a platform for artists, musicians, and writers from both countries to showcase their talents and promote cultural diversity.

To summarize, the advantages of good diplomatic relations between Morocco and Spain are numerous and far-reaching. The two countries share common interests, and their cooperation is vital for regional stability and economic prosperity.
