His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on Tuesday in Kigali, announced Morocco’s joint bid with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup.

The Royal message, which was read by the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, was made on the occasion of the presentation of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Outstanding Achievement Award-2022.

Thus, the Sovereign noted that this historic joint bid will be that of the junction between Africa and Europe, between the north and south of the Mediterranean, and between the African, Arab, and Euro-Mediterranean worlds.

This Candidature, the Sovereign specified, will also be a demonstration of an alliance of genius, creativity, experience, and means.

In this sense, a meeting between three football federations will be held today in Rwanda during the FIFA Congress.
