The third African Forum for Cultural and Creative Industries (Forafricc) will be held in Dakar from 24 to 26 May.

This was announced by singer and businessman Youssou Ndour at a ceremony held at the Maison de la Culture Douta Seck.

He said that the Forum will be held at the former Palace of Justice in Cap Manuel, on the theme ”Cultural and creative industries, vector of employment for youth in Africa and beyond? ”.

In this sense, Youssou Ndour, the initiator of this Forum believes that the cultural and creative industry is an important niche to create jobs, as millions of young people in the world work in this field.

The Senegalese musician, who is now the CEO of the media company Groupe Futurs Médias (GFM), believes that one can make a living out of one’s passion.

Thus, Youssou Ndour added that the European Union has joined this project and the World Bank has provided the necessary financial means to accompany the CCI in Benin.
