The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Resident Abroad, Nasser Bourita said today by video conference, during the 1142nd ministerial meeting of the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC), that the Panel of the Wise of the African Union (AU) is a structure with great potential to become a pillar of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA).
Mr. Bourita expressed his conviction of the primordial role played by the Group through its actions while welcoming the opportunity offered by this meeting to shed light on the Group’s contribution to Africa’s stability efforts within the framework of a vision combining prevention, anticipation, and foresight.
He also noted that the Group’s efforts to communicate and coordinate with the PSC are to be commended while stressing the crucial importance.
