Nigeria – results are beginning to be announced in dribs and drabs, at the local level, on February 27, 2023. These figures are provisional and must be verified in Abuja before being officially announced.

According to the first trends, Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labor Party and considered the third man of this campaign, would have preceded his rival Bola Tinubu, of the APC, at his home in Lagos.

It is an announcement that stirs hope in the hearts of many Nigerians, and perhaps heralds a major shift in national politics.

Peter would thus have preceded the former governor of the megalopolis, by a short head, with just under 10,000 votes.

These results are however provisional, and non-official and they must be confirmed in Abuja, the federal capital.

They, nevertheless, represent a first relief for the youth of the economic capital, who rallied massively behind Peter Obi in recent months.

The young voters who followed the counting closely all expressed their fears that the ballot was manipulated.
