The African Union (AU) Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs, and Social Development, Minata Samaté Cessouma, has given an interview to the Chinese news agency “Xinhua”, in which she praised the Sino-African partnership and especially the cooperation in the field of health.
Ms. Samaté Cessouma expressed Africa’s commitment to continue the fruitful partnership and exchange of experience with China, in favor of the realization of Africa’s Agenda 2063 aspirations.
Similarly, Ms. Samaté Cessouma referred to the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) as a key cooperation platform for strengthening relations between China and the African Union, while stressing the importance of cooperation between China and Africa on the one hand, and between Africa and the AU Commission on the other, for the development of both continents.
Regarding the health sector, Ms. Samaté Cessouma said that this cooperation will help strengthen the health system in Africa.
