Madagascar is preparing again for another violent tropical cyclone on Tuesday night, December 21st. A year after Cyclone Batsirai hit the east coast, killing more than 120 people and injuring 150,000, Freddy, as he is known, is also becoming a very violent person.

Weather forecasts predict wind gusts of up to 250 km/h at the moment of impact, torrential rain, and waves over ten meters high. In other key information, the cyclone could hit the coastal city of Mananjary at the same location or almost as Batsirai. On the east coast, the population is preparing for it. Also, alert humanitarian organizations and the authorities.

This reminder of the basic principles to encourage the population to stock up on water, water, and food to keep there to keep valuable documents safe and of course to ensure your safety during Freddy’s visit.

Effervescence is also on the side of the NGOs who manage the logistics of their teams on site, and those on the way to reach the various strategic places.
