The secretary general of the Malagasy presidency, Esperance Pelandroy, announced on Monday, during a press conference in the Malagasy capital Antananarivo, the names of the new ministers who joined the government during the last reshuffle.
Ms. Pelandroy said that the reshuffle involved the new Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as seven other ministers.
The reshuffle involves eight ministerial departments, the presidential statement said, including the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Labour, and many others.
The need to calm the political climate and improve the government’s performance is behind this reshuffle.
