During the 42nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, held in Addis Ababa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Resident Abroad, Nasser Bourita, affirmed that Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, will continue to work for the strengthening of a policy of active cooperation and solidarity with sister African countries.

Mr. Bourita intervened during the examination of the Report of the Ministerial Committee for the Follow-up of the Implementation of Agenda 2063, stressing that Agenda 2063 is an essential roadmap for successful economic integration and sustainable development of the African continent.

Similarly, Mr. Bourita noted that the implementation of the aspirations of the agenda is underlying the commitment of each member state to implement it at the national level, adding that Morocco, since its return to the African Union in 2017, is committed to the implementation of the aspirations of Agenda 2063.

In this regard, the minister indicated that the central objective of the reform projects undertaken by the Kingdom of Morocco is sustainable development in its three economic, social and environmental dimensions.

These reforms are reinforced by the dedication of more than a third of its national wealth to investment in the productive sectors, economic infrastructures, human development, new technologies, renewable energies and urban development.
