Ivory Coast has chosen to reopen its ground borders from midnight on February 15, 3 years after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ivorian government spokesman, Amadou Coulibaly, made the announcement at the end of a Council of Ministers meeting.

People from countries bordering Côte d’Ivoire can finally use official channels without going through clandestine channels.

It should be recalled that the land borders were closed in March 2020 because of the Covid-19 crisis. The sea and air borders were reopened a few months later.

Côte d’Ivoire has shown good management of the health crisis linked to Covid-19. In fact, President Alassane Ouattara welcomed the excellent results achieved in this regard last January.
