The management team of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN will hold a meeting On Monday,
at the bank’s headquarters in Abuja, in order to come up with a solution to the monetary shortage.
Officials will meet to develop solutions to the ongoing crisis that has emerged after the redesign of the naira.
Senior bank officials will also consider advice given by the state’s National Council, which holds that the bank should reintroduce old banknotes that have been withdrawn from circulation.
The State National Council also believes that printing more N1000, N500 and N200 banknotes that have been redesigned can alleviate the liquidity crisis in the country.
