In order to promote statistical practices between Morocco and African countries, the High Commissioner for Planning HCP received, a delegation comprising a group of officials from the National Agency for Statistics and Demography of Senegal, and the National Statistical Office of Côte d’Ivoire, on the subject of regional accounts.

The aim of this meeting, which was from February 6 to 10, is to “exchange good statistical experiences and practices with partner countries, as part of their policy of opening up to a broader African environment,” according to the High Commission for Planning’s statement.

The delegation added that this study visit also came to focus on working sessions and methodological practices for preparing regional accounts according to the branch of economic activity.

These visits were also an opportunity for the delegation to learn about the dynamics that the regional statistical system is going through through the experience of Casablanca-Settat, in particular, in addition to how to publish regional databases and the reporting process in relation to the goals of sustainable development.
