Jacktone Odhiambo asserted on Wednesday his innocence in the murder of the prominent LGBTQ campaigner Edwin Chiloba.
The body of Edwin Chiluba was found last month in western Kenya, 40km outside Eldoret, dumped in a metal box by the side of the road.
Odhiambo has been accused in a court in the Rift Valley town of Eldoret, of killing the victim, after saying that he was his lover.
Jacktone Odhiambo was a 25-year-old model and fashion designer, and when the members of Kenya’s LGBTQ community are facing harassment and physical attacks, is suspected to be a hate crime.
